"Ethel Mertz"

I thought after I posted the picture of the primrose flowers, I would post this picture of my great grandparents, Charles and Primrose McCann.  When I was growing up, I always thought that Primrose looked like Ethel Mertz from I Love Lucy.

"Kick Ass"

The only way to describe my best friends soccer game! She scored the only 2 goals during the game! She's still got it :)

"Solitude"

If I could, I would sit on this bench all day!  So relaxing...

"Tasty Treats"

My parents were going to a social event, so my mom and I made these chocolate dipped wafer cookies with vanilla drizzle and swirls.  We did the same thing for Christmas this year with chocolate and vanilla covered cookies, strawberries, pretzels & Twizzlers

"Unicycle"

Honestly, when was the last time you saw someone on a unicycle besides at the circus.  He was riding circles all over the playground - it was quite impressive!

"Railing Swirls"

Lately, I can't help but notice shadows.  Whether it is a tree on the side of a building, or this railing on the sidewalk.

"Primroses"

I was at the Farmers Market in Wayne, PA and saw these for sale.  I explained to the woman that my great grandmothers name was Primrose, and asked her if I could take a picture.  She wasn't as interested as I hoped, and let me take the picture.

"Octagonal School House"

"Constructed of fieldstone, the eight-sided school has seven windows that were placed above the heads of the pupils. A schoolmaster's desk faced the younger children seated around a central heating stove while other children faced shelf-like desks attached to the walls." - Newtown Square Historical Preservation Society

"Snowy Field"

I love this field, and always wanted to stop and take a picture, but promised myself I wouldn't do so unless there were clouds in the sky.  I put my four ways on, hopped out and took a few shots.  I turned around to walk back, and a police car was behind me with his lights on.  "Did you get any good pictures?" he said. "I hope so! Sorry for holding up some traffic." I replied. "It's ok. Just making sure you weren't broken down."

Hard Rock Cafe on the corner of 12th & Market street in Philadelphia.

"Rolls Royce"

Visited the Philly Auto Show with my Dad, brother and boyfriend today.  Although I love seeing the new cars and the concept cars, I still love taking pictures of classics.  Shown here is a white wall tire from a 1953 Rolls Royce.

Other things I saw today at the auto show:
1. Parents using strollers as battering rams to get through the crowds.
2. Children sliding down the hood, and stepping on the seats of an $85,000.00 Porsche.
3. An 8 year old who left a platter of nachos smothered in cheese in the back seat of a Mercedes Benz, CL 550
4. A rather large man who squeezed himself into a Smart Car.

I'm exhausted.

"Carmel Machiatto"

"The whole purpose of places like Starbucks is for people with no decision-making ability whatsoever to make six decisions just to buy one cup of coffee. Short, tall, light, dark, caf, decaf, low-fat, non-fat, etc. So people who don't know what the hell they're doing or who on earth they are can, for only $2.95, get not just a cup of coffee but an absolutely defining sense of self: Tall. Decaf. Cappuccino" - You've Got Mail

"Take a Kindness, Leave a Kindness."

Visited a local coffee shop for the first time today, and these little mailboxes were on each of the tables, with a note to leave a kindness.  Inside was a tablet of paper, and a few words of wisdom that others left.

"Please, no peekchurz"

I could spend hundreds of dollars on toys for Lola, but nothing would make her happier then a couple sheets of tissue paper.
